Hey...that's my skull

Skull a gift, says man who tossed it

THOMPSON'S STATION — The human skull recovered by sheriff's investigators at a recycling center earlier this week was thrown into the trash by a local man who was cleaning out his son's room, Williamson County sheriff's officials say.

Henry Crane, who lives in the Mayberry subdivision north of Thompson's Station, told sheriff's officials yesterday that his son got the skull as a gift from the family of a former girlfriend. They told him only that the skull was a World War II relic brought from overseas.

Henry Crane's son, Robert, now lives in Louisiana, and Crane said he threw the skull away after cleaning out his son's room.
Here's a related entry of mine about WW2 keepsakes.

  1. I can't believe I stumbled across this link in Google.

I was at this recycling center emptying grass clippings when the old dude at the dumpster shed invited me over to gawk at his new skull find!

    I love the internet.
